Who knew Owls could feather your nest?

You knew that a Rice education was enriching — but did you know that it could make you rich? Research group Questar recently queried Rice alumni and, of the 10,359 or 24 percent who responded, 68 percent reported annual household incomes of more than $100,000 and nearly half make more than $150,000. But what they make pales in comparison to how they make a difference. These Rice alumni have started more than 2,000 companies, with annual revenue exceeding $40 billion; they’ve been recognized with every imaginable major award from Nobel Prizes and Pulitzers to Emmys and Bronze Stars; and more than a third of them have led one or more charities in the last three years. Their unconventional wisdom has led them to improve the world not only with their wealth — but also with their wealth of talents, skills and generosity. And that’s a fact you can take to the bank!
